description Forseti Overview

Forseti is a comparatively obscure god in Norse mythology. In the Poetic Edda poem Grímnismál, he is associated with Glitnir, a hall described as supported by gold and decorated with silver, where disputes are settled. Snorri Sturluson's Prose Edda identifies him as the son of Baldr and Nanna, while later descriptions of him as a principal god of justice go beyond the limited primary-source evidence.
