While they are smooth enough to use stock, JWK molds are well-known in the enthusiast community for responding excellently to hand-lubing with Krytox 205g0 on the stems and dielectric grease on the housing rails. Many builders consider lubing JWK linearies a worthwhile step that transforms them from very good to exceptional.

JWK Milky Yellows are generally regarded as smoother and more refined than Gateron Yellows, with a creamier sound profile and less stem wobble. JWK switches are typically sold in 5-pin PCB-mount configuration, with two extra plastic alignment legs on the bottom housing. If your keyboard uses plate-mount stabilizers and a 3-pin PCB, you can simply clip the two extra legs with flush cutters to make them compatible.
