Simucube 2 Pro Direct Drive Wheel Base

The Simucube 2 Pro delivers up to 25 Nm of peak torque, which places it in the upper range of consumer-grade direct drive wheel bases. This level of torque provides highly detailed force feedback that can convey subtle surface textures and grip changes in racing simulations.

The Simucube 2 Pro is compatible with major PC racing simulators including iRacing, Assetto Corsa Competizione, rFactor 2, Automobilista 2, and the Dirt Rally series. It connects to a PC via USB and is configured using the True Drive software provided by Simucube's parent company, Granite Devices, based in Finland.

The Simucube 2 Pro uses a quick-release hub system, and because it is a wheel base rather than a complete wheel, users can attach compatible rims from manufacturers like Ascher Racing, Cube Controls, and Momo. Simucube also offers its own steering wheel options designed specifically for their ecosystem.

In a direct drive system, the steering wheel is mounted directly to the motor shaft with no intermediary gears or belts, which eliminates mechanical lag and 'dead spots' in force feedback. This results in more precise, immediate, and detailed force sensations compared to consumer belt-driven or gear-driven systems like the Logitech G29 or belt-driven Fanatec alternatives.
