Antonio de Aguiar Patriota is a Brazilian career diplomat who served as Minister of Foreign Affairs from 2011 to 2013 during Dilma Rousseff's presidency. Before becoming foreign minister, he held senior posts in Brazil's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and served as ambassador to the United States; after leaving the ministry, he became Brazil's permanent representative to the United Nations in New York. His diplomatic career also included earlier service at Brazil's missions to the United Nations in New York and international organizations in Geneva.
