help Aluna Exchange FAQ
What was Aluna Exchange actually designed to do?
Aluna.Social was presented as a multi-exchange trading terminal that let users manage connected exchange accounts, follow traders, and copy trades. It was closer to a social trading layer than a conventional exchange with its own order book. [Forbes Crypto](https://www.forbes.com/digital-assets/assets/aluna-aln/)
What is the ALN token?
ALN was described as an ERC-20 token on Ethereum, with a planned maximum supply of 100 million tokens. Historical project material also identifies the Ethereum contract as 0x8185bc4757572da2a610f887561c32298f1a5748. [Aluna whitepaper](https://aluna.hosted.live/downloads/Aluna_Whitepaper_v1.1.pdf)
Can I still use Aluna Exchange today?
Current public evidence does not establish a working official Aluna trading service. A 2026 review says the former Aluna.Social platform appears defunct and warns that the old domain now hosts unrelated content, so API keys should not be entered into sites claiming to be Aluna. How did Aluna's copy trading work?
Historically, users connected exchange API keys so Aluna could display account data and execute trades through the terminal, including copy-trading features. That model required careful API permissions, and the old workflow should not be treated as available or safe without a verified official service.
