146 Lucina is a main-belt asteroid discovered by French astronomer Alphonse Borrelly on 8 June 1875. It is classified as a C-type asteroid and follows an orbit in the central main belt, where it takes about 4.48 years to circle the Sun. The name comes from Lucina, a Roman goddess associated with childbirth. Observations have also produced a light-curve model and an estimated rotation period of about 18.6 hours, giving astronomers data on its spin as well as its orbit.
