61 Danaë is a stony S-type asteroid in the outer main belt, discovered by German-French astronomer Hermann Goldschmidt on 9 September 1860 from Paris. It is about 85 kilometers in diameter, has an orbital period of roughly 5.2 years, and follows an orbit inclined by about 18 degrees to the ecliptic.
