Armageddon Chess

description Armageddon Chess Overview

Armageddon chess is a tie-break format used to decide a match when earlier games have not produced a winner. White must win the game to take the result, while a draw is scored as a win for Black, giving Black draw odds. To balance that advantage, White normally receives more thinking time than Black, with the exact time controls and color allocation set by the competition's rules.
