description Omega Chess Overview

Omega Chess is a commercial chess variant created by Daniel MacDonald in 1992. It uses a 10 by 10 board with four additional corner squares, expanding the playing area to 104 spaces, and adds two new piece types: the champion and the wizard. The variant preserves the central objective of checkmating the opposing king while giving the new pieces distinctive movement rules suited to the enlarged board.
