description Blood-vein Overview

The Blood-vein, Timandra comae, is a geometrid moth found across much of Europe and in parts of North Africa. Adults are recognizable by their pale yellow wings crossed by continuous pinkish-red lines, a pattern that gives the species its common name. The moth occurs in habitats such as woodland, scrub, gardens, and other areas supporting its larval food plants.
