The Blue-tufted Starthroat (Heliomaster furcifer) is a South American hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is recorded from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay, with its core range in eastern Bolivia, southern Brazil, Paraguay, northern Argentina, and northern Uruguay. The male's blue facial tufts give the species its common name, and its long, decurved bill is another field character. It feeds on nectar and can also take small insects.
