Boneset

description Boneset Overview

Boneset, Eupatorium perfoliatum, is a perennial plant in the aster family native to eastern and central North America. It grows in wet meadows, marsh edges, ditches, and other moist habitats, producing clusters of small white flower heads in summer and early autumn. Its paired leaves join around the stem, a distinctive arrangement known as perfoliate. The plant has a history of medicinal use for fevers and other ailments, but it contains biologically active compounds and should not be treated as a proven safe remedy.
