The Bunker Hill Monument is a granite obelisk on Breed's Hill in Charlestown, Massachusetts, commemorating the Battle of Bunker Hill, fought on June 17, 1775, during the American Revolutionary War. The monument is 221 feet tall and was completed in 1843 after construction began with the laying of its cornerstone in 1825. It is part of Boston National Historical Park and includes a narrow interior stairway leading toward the top.
