Cala Deia

Ca's Patro March is a rustic seafood restaurant set on the rocks of Cala Deià, reachable by footpath from the village of Deià. It gained international exposure when it appeared in the BBC series "The Night Manager" starring Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie. Tables are limited, and during summer visitors often wait an hour or more for a spot on the terrace.

The cove sits roughly 1 kilometer below the village of Deià on Mallorca's northwestern coast, in the Serra de Tramuntana. Most visitors park above the cove (limited spaces) and walk down a steep, rocky path for about 20 minutes. There is no public road down to the shore itself.

Cala Deià is a pebble and shingle beach with a rocky shoreline, not sand. Bathing shoes are recommended because the rocks and pebbles can be rough on bare feet. The clear, deep water is popular for swimming and snorkeling rather than sunbathing on soft sand.

The village of Deià has a long artistic heritage, most famously associated with the English poet and novelist Robert Graves, who lived there from 1929 until his death in 1985. Later residents included the painter Avidgor Arikha, the musician Kevin Ayers, and actor Andrew Lloyd Webber's circle. The mix of international artists and unspoiled Tramuntana scenery gave the village its Bohemian reputation.
