Cala Figuera

Cala Figuera is a narrow, deep coastal inlet located near the municipality of Santanyí in the southeastern region of Mallorca, Spain. The town is built right along the steep rocky promontories that shelter the water from the open sea. It is one of the most picturesque fishing villages on the island.

The narrow inlet extends inland for over a kilometer, creating a series of steep rocky promontories. This unique geography means the harbor town stretches deep into the interior of the island rather than sprawling along the coast. The deep water allows fishing boats to dock directly in the village.

Unlike typical tourist coves, Cala Figuera does not have a large sandy beach; instead, it is primarily a bustling harbor and inlet. The coastline is defined by steep rocky cliffs where traditional wooden fishing boats are moored. Visitors go there more for the scenic harbor views than for sunbathing.

Cala Figuera is famous for its incredibly narrow, deep inlet that extends inland for over a kilometer, often described as a 'little Venice.' Along these steep rocky promontories, traditional fishermen's houses line the water's edge with boat garages on the ground floor. It remains a working fishing port on the southeast coast of Mallorca.
