Calfee Design Dragonfly Pro

Calfee builds the Dragonfly as a boutique carbon road frame with individually joined carbon tubes rather than a conventional one-piece molded shell. That construction allows extensive control over geometry, tube selection, and ride characteristics.

Custom geometry is a central part of Calfee's offering, alongside standard sizing. The company can tailor fit and handling for a rider instead of limiting the buyer to the fixed molds used by mass-market brands such as Trek or Specialized.

It is fundamentally a high-performance road frame, but its exact fit and handling can be configured around the rider's goals. A buyer can therefore request a more aggressive race position or a less extreme setup for long-distance road riding.

Most large manufacturers mold frames in a small number of fixed sizes, while Calfee joins selected carbon tubes and finishes the junctions by hand. The tradeoff is a labor-intensive premium frame, but the method supports custom geometry and repairs that may be impractical on some monocoque frames.
