Carlos Pace was a Brazilian racing driver who competed in Formula One from 1972 until his death in 1977. Driving primarily for the Brabham team, he achieved his sole Grand Prix victory at the 1975 Brazilian Grand Prix and secured a total of six podium finishes during his career. Known for his natural speed, he was highly regarded by his teammates and engineers. Pace's life was tragically cut short in a light aircraft accident in São Paulo, leading to the naming of the Interlagos circuit in his honor.
