Cong Abbey is an Augustinian priory located in County Mayo, Ireland, founded in the 12th century on the site of an earlier monastery. The ruins are distinguished by their Romanesque architecture, including finely carved doorways and arches, as well as a Gothic chapter house. It is historically associated with the Connacht kings and was once the location of the Cross of Cong, a medieval processional cross. The site remains a preserved national monument that is accessible to the public.
