The Crișana Plain is a lowland region in western Romania, extending toward the Hungarian border as part of the eastern Pannonian Plain. It is crossed by the Criș river system, including the Crișul Repede, Crișul Negru, and Crișul Alb, whose valleys connect the plain with the Apuseni Mountains. Its level terrain, temperate continental climate, and fertile soils support extensive agriculture and settlement.
