Culzean Castle is a large country house situated on the Ayrshire coast of Scotland, overlooking the Firth of Clyde. The structure was extensively designed and remodeled by the neoclassical architect Robert Adam in the late 18th century for the Kennedy family. Constructed primarily from sandstone, the building features a distinctive circular drum tower and extensive landscaped gardens. The estate was gifted to the National Trust for Scotland in 1945, and an apartment within the castle was designated for the use of U.S.
