Daniel Roseberry

Daniel Roseberry was appointed creative director of Schiaparelli in 2019, becoming the first American to lead a French haute couture house. His appointment followed more than a decade at Thom Browne, where he had risen to lead the women's collection design team.

Roseberry spent eleven years at the New York-based label Thom Browne, where he started as a design assistant and eventually became director of the women's collection. He grew up in Texas and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology before entering the fashion industry.

Roseberry is best known for reviving Schiaparelli's heritage of surrealism with designs like the gold-dipped anatomical breast necklace worn by Bella Hadid at the 2021 Cannes Film Festival. His work consistently references founder Elsa Schiaparelli's fascination with the human body, often incorporating molded body parts, oversized jewelry, and optical illusions.

Yes, under Roseberry's direction Schiaparelli returned to the official Paris Haute Couture Week calendar in January 2020 with a critically acclaimed show. This re-established the house as a regular presence on the couture schedule for the first time since its modern relaunch under its then-owner Diego della Valle.
