Nigo, born Tomoaki Nagao, is a Japanese fashion designer, DJ, and record producer. He is best known as the founder of the streetwear brand A Bathing Ape (BAPE) in Tokyo in 1993, which played a central role in the Ura-Harajuku casual streetwear movement. In addition to his work with BAPE, he co-founded the Billionaire Boys Club label with Pharrell Williams. In 2021, Nigo was appointed the artistic director of the French luxury fashion house Kenzo.
