Eremopyga denudata is a species of regular sea urchin in the family Diadematidae. Like other members of this group, it has a rounded test covered by movable, often conspicuous spines and belongs to the marine echinoderms, a group that also includes starfish and brittle stars. The species was described by Alexander Emanuel Agassiz in 1872 and is associated with deep-water marine environments rather than shallow intertidal habitats.
