Will an Ergotron LX Pole Mount fit any monitor?

The display needs a compatible VESA mounting pattern, commonly 75 x 75 mm or 100 x 100 mm, and must remain inside the arm's weight range. Monitor size alone is not enough because a heavy ultrawide can exceed an LX arm's capacity despite fitting the VESA plate.
