Errazuriz

Viña Errázuriz is located in the Aconcagua Valley in Chile, approximately 90 kilometers north of the capital city of Santiago. Founded in 1870 by Don Maximiano Errázuriz, it sits among the oldest and most prominent wineries in the country. The region's Mediterranean climate makes it an ideal location for viticulture.

Today, Viña Errázuriz is part of the larger Errázuriz Wine Group, with Eduardo Chadwick serving as the president and a fifth-generation descendant of the founder. The Chadwick family has played a massive role in establishing the modern reputation of Chilean wine globally. They are also known for their ownership of the Seña wine project.

One of the winery's most iconic and premium wines is the 'Don Maximiano Founder's Reserve', a blend typically featuring Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine was pivotal in proving that Chile could produce ultra-premium, world-class red wines. The 'Berlin Tasting' in 2004, where the Don Maximiano beat top European wines in a blind tasting, cemented its fame.

Viña Errázuriz was founded in 1870 by Don Maximiano Errázuriz. He recognized the exceptional climatic conditions of the Aconcagua Valley and planted French grape varieties, most notably Cabernet Sauvignon.
