Gang Beasts

Gang Beasts was developed by the independent studio Boneloaf Studios. It is a comedic multiplayer beat 'em up known for its intentionally floppy, physics-based combat mechanics. The small studio created a massive hit in the party game genre.

While the game entered its early access period starting in 2014, its official full release occurred in December 2017. This launch expanded the game significantly from its early alpha builds. It quickly became a staple for YouTube and Twitch streamers upon its full release.

Gang Beasts is widely available across multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. The game initially launched on PC and subsequently expanded to include all major home consoles. This wide platform availability helped popularize its chaotic local co-op gameplay.

Players control gelatinous humanoid characters and must use the game's physics engine to punch, grab, and throw their opponents into environmental hazards. The goal is to be the last fighter standing on dangerous maps filled with incinerators, subway tracks, and crushing machinery. The intentionally clumsy controls make every match uniquely chaotic.
