Billy Walker, one of the most respected figures in Scotch whisky, became master distiller at GlenAllachie after acquiring the distillery in 2017 as part of The GlenAllachie Distillers Company. Walker is renowned for his expertise in cask selection and wood management, previously building the reputation of BenRiach and Glenglassaugh.

GlenAllachie Cask Strength batches feature a complex mix of cask types that varies with each release, typically including Pedro Ximénez sherry, oloroso sherry, virgin oak, and ex-bourbon barrels. Billy Walker is known for his meticulous approach to combining different wood types to build layered flavor profiles.

GlenAllachie Distillery is located in Aberlour, Speyside, Scotland. It was originally built in 1967 and was primarily used as a component for blends before being acquired and repositioned as a single malt brand by Billy Walker's group in 2017.

As a cask strength whisky, the ABV varies with each batch but typically falls between 50% and 60% ABV. Each batch label clearly states the exact bottling strength, and the whisky is non-chill filtered with natural color.
