Gliese 876 d is a super-Earth exoplanet orbiting the red dwarf star Gliese 876, located approximately 15 light-years from Earth. Discovered in 2005 through radial velocity measurements, it was among the first super-Earth-mass planets identified around a main-sequence star. The planet has a minimum mass of approximately 5.9 times that of Earth and orbits very close to its host star with a period of less than two days. Gliese 876 hosts at least four known planets, including gas giant companions.
