The Grey-capped Woodpecker, also called the Grey-capped Pygmy Woodpecker (Yungipicus canicapillus), is a small Asian woodpecker in the family Picidae. Its range extends from the Himalayas and parts of China and Manchuria through mainland Southeast Asia and the Sunda region, with habitats including moist lowland and montane forest, woodland, mangroves, and cultivated areas. A grey crown, black-and-white barring, and a red nape in males distinguish it from several related pygmy woodpeckers.
