Haikyuu!!

The story primarily follows Shoyo Hinata, a short-statured high school student who dreams of becoming a great volleyball player despite his height. He forms a fierce rivalry and partnership with the genius setter, Tobio Kageyama.

Creator Haruichi Furudate serialized the manga in Weekly Shonen Jump from February 2012 to July 2020. The series wrapped up perfectly after 45 collected volumes.

While it exaggerates certain physical abilities for dramatic effect, the manga is highly praised for its surprisingly accurate depiction of real volleyball mechanics and strategy. Furudate extensively researched real-life positions, rotations, and team dynamics.

While there is no direct sequel series, Furudate has released a few special epilogue chapters following the characters in their post-high school professional careers. The main story is completely resolved in the final volumes.
