JBL L100 Classic

It is a modern reinterpretation introduced around 2018, not a surviving original L100 Century. JBL retained the walnut veneer and distinctive Quadrex foam grille while redesigning the drivers and crossover.

The production L100 Classic uses a 12-inch JW300PW-8 pure-pulp woofer, a 5.25-inch midrange driver, and a 1-inch titanium-dome tweeter. Claims that it uses two Dayton woofers and a Scan-Speak tweeter describe a different or DIY design.

JBL designed it to work with the optional JS-120 stands, which raise the cabinet and tilt it slightly toward the listener. Proper stands also keep the large 12-inch woofer away from the floor and improve listening-axis alignment.

The L100 Classic is a three-way design built around a 12-inch woofer, while the L82 Classic is a more compact two-way model with an 8-inch woofer. The L100 consequently offers greater bass extension, output capacity, and cabinet volume.
