Luther Marsh

description Luther Marsh Overview

Luther Marsh is a wetland and wildlife management area in the headwaters of Ontario's Grand River watershed. The property covers about 5,780 hectares and includes Luther Lake, a roughly 1,400-hectare reservoir created when Luther Dam was built in 1954. The impoundment changed the local wetland system and created habitat used by waterfowl and other wildlife. Records from the area include more than 263 bird species, making it relevant to birding and wetland conservation.
