The Long Point Marshes are a massive complex of freshwater wetlands located on Lake Erie in Ontario, Canada, sheltered by a 40-kilometer sandspit known as Long Point. As the largest wetland system in the Great Lakes, the area is a critical stopover point for migratory birds and waterfowl along the Atlantic and Mississippi flyways. The region is recognized as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and is actively managed to support its diverse populations of wildlife.
