description Mbosi Overview

Mbosi, also called Mbozi, is a large ungrouped iron meteorite located in southwestern Tanzania. The exposed mass is approximately three metres long and is commonly estimated to weigh about 16 metric tonnes, making it one of the largest known intact meteorites. Its composition is dominated by iron and nickel, but its chemical characteristics do not securely match any established iron-meteorite group.
