Nandi Hills, also known as Nandi Durga, is a granite hill and historic fortified retreat in Karnataka, India. Rising to about 1,478 metres, the hill was used as a summer retreat by Tipu Sultan and later by British administrators, and remnants of walls, gates, and viewpoints remain associated with its fort history. The site also has religious connections through the Nandi name and nearby temples, and attracts visitors for its landscape and heritage.
