Nap

description Nap Overview

Nap, also called Napoleon, is an English trick-taking card game in which each player is dealt five cards and bids for the number of tricks they expect to win. The highest bidder declares the contract, leads to the first trick, and usually establishes the trump suit with that lead; the other players compete against the contract. A bid of Nap represents an attempt to win all five tricks, which gives the game its distinctive all-or-nothing top contract.
