Pantalica is an ancient necropolis in southeastern Sicily, Italy, located on a limestone plateau between the Anapo and Calcinara valleys. Its steep rock faces contain more than 5,000 chamber tombs cut into the stone, with the earliest large phase dating to the Late Bronze Age, around the middle of the second millennium BCE. The site also preserves remains of later settlements and is part of the UNESCO-listed Syracuse and the Rocky Necropolis of Pantalica.
