description Radio Golf Overview

Radio Golf is a 2005 play by August Wilson and the final work in his ten-play Pittsburgh Cycle, with each installment depicting Black life in a different decade of the twentieth century. Set in Pittsburgh's Hill District in 1997, it follows businessman Harmond Wilks as a redevelopment project and his political ambitions bring him into conflict with the neighborhood's history. The play examines gentrification, heritage, economic advancement, and responsibility to community.
