Refusal Chess

description Refusal Chess Overview

Refusal Chess is a chess variant in which a player may reject the opponent's first proposed move. After a move is refused, the opponent must choose another legal move, and the same move may not be refused twice consecutively. This rule adds a limited veto mechanism to ordinary chess, changing how players evaluate threats, forcing moves, and tactical sequences. The variant is intended for interactive play between two opponents.
