description Savé Valley Overview

The Savé Valley is a semi-arid lowland region in southeastern Zimbabwe drained by the Save River, which flows toward the Mozambique border and the Indian Ocean. Its vegetation includes dry woodland, grassland, and areas influenced by the river system. The region is also associated with the Savé Valley Conservancy, a large privately managed wildlife area established from former ranches and known for habitat management and conservation of large mammals.
