Sepiola rondeleti is a small bobtail squid in the family Sepiolidae. It occurs in the Mediterranean Sea and the eastern Atlantic and is associated with shallow coastal habitats. The species name refers to Guillaume Rondelet, a sixteenth-century French naturalist whose work included descriptions of marine animals. Like other bobtail squids, it has a compact body and lives close to the seabed rather than in the open ocean.
