Simac Ladies Tour

The Simac Ladies Tour is a professional women's cycling stage race held entirely in the Netherlands. It typically takes place in early September across various regions of the flat Dutch landscape. This terrain heavily favors sprinters and time trial specialists.

Before securing its current title sponsorship from the Dutch IT company Simac, the race was widely known as the Holland Ladies Tour. It was first organized in 1998 and has operated under various sponsor names over the decades. The race is currently officially organized by the Firma van de Laar Events agency.

The race usually consists of five or six stages compressed into a single week of intense racing. This often includes an individual time trial alongside multiple flat road races that frequently end in bunch sprints. The exact route and stage formats are announced by organizers early in the racing season.

Many of the biggest names in women's cycling have taken the overall victory here, including cycling legends like Leontien van Moorsel and Marianne Vos. World-class time trialists like Ellen van Dijk have also dominated the general classification. The race is a key tune-up event for the European and World Championship time trials later in the month.
