The spotted cucumber beetle (Diabrotica undecimpunctata) is a North American leaf beetle recognized by its yellow-green body marked with twelve black spots. Adults feed on the leaves, flowers, and fruits of cucurbits and many other crops and can transmit bacterial wilt and viruses such as cucumber mosaic and squash mosaic, while the root-feeding larvae, known as southern corn rootworms, damage corn and other plants. It is an important pest of cucurbit and vegetable crops in North America.
