Store Mosse

description Store Mosse Overview

Store Mosse is a national park in Smaland, southern Sweden, centered on an extensive raised-bog landscape. Established in 1982, it protects peatlands, wet forests, lakes, and sandy areas that support specialized plants and a variety of birdlife. Boardwalks and marked trails allow visitors to cross otherwise waterlogged terrain while limiting damage to sensitive habitats. The wider wetland complex is also recognized under the Ramsar Convention as a wetland of international importance.
