Streaky Bay

description Streaky Bay Overview

Streaky Bay is a coastal inlet located on the western side of the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. British explorer Matthew Flinders named the bay during his 1802 voyage due to the streaked appearance of its waters. The area serves as a hub for commercial fishing and aquaculture, particularly for abalone and oysters. The adjacent town of the same name acts as an administrative and service center for the surrounding rural districts.
