The Susquehanna River is a 715-kilometer river in the northeastern United States and the longest river on the American East Coast. It rises in New York, flows through Pennsylvania and Maryland, and enters the Chesapeake Bay at Havre de Grace. The river is the bay's largest tributary and supplies about half of its freshwater inflow, making its watershed important to water quality, fisheries, agriculture, and flood management.
