description Sutorectus tentaculatus Overview
Sutorectus tentaculatus, the cobbler wobbegong, is a carpet shark in the family Orectolobidae and the only living species in the genus Sutorectus. It occurs in Australian waters from the central coast of Western Australia to eastern South Australia, using rocky reefs and weedy or seagrass habitats, generally in shallow water to at least 35 m. Rows of warty tubercles, dark spots, saddle-like blotches, and simple unbranched dermal lobes on the head distinguish it from other wobbegongs.
