TightVNC Viewer is just the client component of the TightVNC suite. It is a very basic, no-frills tool for connecting to VNC servers. It is useful if you only need to connect to existing VNC infrastructure, but it is not a complete remote desktop solution. It is included here for completeness, but it is not a tool that most users would choose as their primary remote desktop software in 2025.
