Trimerotropis barnumi is a band-winged grasshopper in the family Acrididae and is very similar to T. agrestis. Records place it on sand dunes in Utah and other Great Basin states, including southwestern Wyoming. A Wyoming field account reports adults in August in open sand with Rumex plants and notes that the species is not considered a grasshopper pest.
