TrueDark Twilights

The red tint blocks blue, green, and violet wavelengths much more aggressively than a nearly clear computer lens. TrueDark positions Twilights for evening use, while its lighter Daylights range is intended for daytime screens.

They are intended for the final portion of the evening when artificial lighting and screens would otherwise provide bright short-wavelength light. Many users put them on roughly one to two hours before their planned bedtime.

They should not be used for driving because the dark red lenses substantially alter color perception and reduce visible light. That can make traffic signals, pedestrians, and road details harder to distinguish.

The Twilights Fitovers model is specifically shaped to sit over many prescription frames. TrueDark has also offered other frame styles, so buyers who wear glasses should choose the fitover version rather than assuming every Twilight frame will fit.
